Why do family members need genetic testing? If you have a family member who has undergone genetic testing, you may be asked by your family member’s doctor to undergo a genetic test yourself.

Who is eligible for RAPIDS project? This project invites volunteers who are adults, adolescents and children with glomerular diseases suspected to be genetic in nature. There is no age limit.

Genetic testing is currently piloted in Singapore for individuals with kidney diseases suspected to be due to genetic causes. Genetic testing can also be offered to healthy individuals who may be at risk of developing kidney diseases in the future.
